The Pre-Summit will provide an opportunity for participants to engage in facilitated small group discussions focused on how to begin and sustain health literacy coalitions and initiatives – at the local, state and regional levels. Discussion tables will be led by individuals with specific expertise in different areas of sustainability, from funding and finding your health literacy champion, to program evaluation and networking. Later in the afternoon we will shift our attention to a national health literacy professional association. What would this look like and what are the attributes you would want to see in a professional association? Come add your ideas as to how such a professional association may help to move the rapidly growing field of health literacy forward.
